Zach Galifianakis tries to spank Justin Bieber in 'Between Two Ferns'
Zach Galifianakis calls out Justin Bieber's recent behavior in an interview for Galifianakis' FunnyorDie.com web show "Between Two Ferns." (Warning: Video contains explicit language)
The show frequently features awkward moments and Galifianakis asking outrageous questions. Bieber's episode starts off with Galifianakis saying, "It's really exciting to talk to you, especially right in the middle of your public meltdown."
At one point in the video, Galifianakis leans next to Bieber and tells him, "You're young, punk attitude is not going to work in this interview. You understand me son? Ok."
Galifianakis also asks Bieber about a remark he made after visiting the Anne Frank museum in April. Bieber wrote a short message in the museum's guest book which said, "Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a 'Belieber,'" meaning that he hoped Frank would have been a fan of his.
"Did you mean that if the Nazis had not taken her and she lived to be in her 80s, she would've liked your music, presumably due to, you know, loss of hearing," Galifianakis asks Bieber in the clip. "Or, 'cause I could see how this could get lost in translation, I think that you are talking about time travel and that you think if you could build a machine and go back to visit Anne Frank, she would have been a 'Belieber' then."
"Is that true? 'Cause I don't know what to beliebe," Galifianakis, 43, adds.
"I want to be a time traveler," Bieber responds.
Galifianakis later yells at Bieber for "smoking pot" and speeding on the highway, amongst other things. The comedian then takes off his belt and repeatedly hits the side of the singer's chair.
"Sorry about that. I don't really, I don't think spanking kids is really a good thing, but you're not a child. That's the point," Galifianakis said. "You're not a child. So I can hit a grown man with a belt."
The video ends with a Nickelodeon-like moment, with one of the men getting slimed.
Jennifer Aniston appeared on Galifianakis' web series back in 2011 with reality star Tila Tequila and Galifianakis asked the two women which U.S. state she would choose to have blown up with a nuclear bomb.
