Willow Smith's tongue piercing is fake, she says - See photo
Willow Smith caused a bit of a stir over the weekend when she posted a photo of herself and a friend on her Instragram account and was seen with what appeared to be a tongue piercing. The photo can be seen above on the left.
The 11-year-old daughter of actor and rapper Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett Smith took a lot of heat for the alleged piercing in the comment section for the photo with some blasting Willow Smith.
"That is very tacky. I thought u were better than this," a fan with the handle ilzgazcuz, wrote.
Another fan, who goes by brookelovesjband1d, wrote, "Tongue rings are disgusting u shouldn't be getting that, I love u willow but that rlly isn't a good decision."
Smith took to her comment section to clear things up with her followers. "It's fake," she wrote. "Sorry."
Bobbie DeBarge, the girl who appears in the photo with Willow, posted another photo of the two with the fake piercings on her Instragam account and tagged the photo with a "#fake" hashtag, as well as ones that said "#dontberude" and "#justhavingfun."
Smith has become one of the most popular pre-teen artists and rose to fame with the 2010 song "Whip My Hair."
Willow Smith is signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label. She is also an actress and made her debut in her father's 2007 film, "I Am Legend" and also appeared opposite Abigail Breslin in "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl" in 2008.
Smith is slated to star in an upcoming remake of "Annie." She will also appear opposite her brother Jaden Smith in "Amulet," which follows a brother and sister duo taxed with protecting their widowed mother from "a beast threatening her from his underworld lair."
Last month she released a music video for her latest single "Do It Like Me (Rockstar)."
