Willow Smith to perform at Kids' Choice Awards
Willow Smith is set to perform at Nickelodeon's 2011 Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday, April 2, while Britney Spears, who is promoting her new album, is also scheduled to participate in the slime-filled show.
Smith, the 10-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, is known for the hit pop song "Whip My Hair" and recently toured with teen pop star Justin Bieber. Others set to perform at the Kids' Choice Awards include the Black Eyed Peas and Big Time Rush.
"I'm so excited to be performing at the Kids' Choice Awards," People magazine quoted Smith as saying. "Really hoping I don't get slimed!"
Smith will perform during the show while Spears, whose new album "Femme Fatale" is set for release on Tuesday, March 29, will make a "special appearance" but will not sing, a Nickelodeon spokesperson told OnTheRedCarpet.com.
Jack Black is hosting the Kids' Choice Awards for the third time. The ceremony is set to air live from the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles at 8 p.m. ET/PT (tape-delayed).
Others set to appear during the show include Smith's brother Jaden, actors Jason Segel, Russell Brand, Josh Duhamel, Damon Wayans, Sofia Vergara, Jane Lynch and Miranda Cosgrove, as well as television and radio host Nick Cannon.
Black is nominated for an award for his role in his recent movie, "Gulliver's Travels" and is also known for films such as "School of Rock" and "Kung Fu Panda" as well as for his rock band Tenacious D. He hosted the Kids' Choice Awards in 2006 and 2008.
