Willa Ford, an actress and singer of the hit 2001 pop song "I Wanna Be Bad," and husband Mike Modano have called it quits after almost five years of marriage.

Ford, 31, and Modano, a 42-year-old retired hockey player, wed in Texas on Aug. 25, 2007. They have no children together.

"It is with great sadness that after five years of marriage, Willa and Mike have decided to divorce," the actress' spokesperson told People magazine on Tuesday. "They remain friends and wish each other success and happiness."

A rep for Ford confirmed the report to OnTheRedCarpet.com. "I Wanna Be Bad" was released in May 2001 and was a top 20 hit on several U.S. charts. The track was also featured in the Amanda Bynes comedy movie "What A Girl Wants." Ford went on to make her acting debut in a 2002 episode of the WB show "Raising Dad."

She competed on ABC's "Dancing With The Stars" during its third season in 2006. She and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy placed sixth. Also in 2006, she posed for Playboy magazine. Ford later played famous Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole Smith in an independent biopic that was released in 2007.

Ford appeared on a 2011 episode of "The Glades." She currently plays Janice Michaels on the new show "Magic City," which debuted on the Starz cable channel earlier this year.
