Whoopi Goldberg had 'choice words' for 'Real Housewives of D.C.' star Michaele Salahi
Whoopi Goldberg opened up on The View Thursday after a heated argument backstage with Real Housewives of D.C. star Michaele Salahi on Wednesday made headlines. Salahi accused the host of hitting her on during an interview segement of the show.
A statement on the show's website indicates that the incident stems from a moment on Wednesday when Goldberg, "lightly touched Ms. Salahi to get her attention and said to her 'Excuse me, can you get back to the White House, please?', meaning could Ms. Salahi return to the original subject of the conversation. After the show, Ms. Salahi and her husband accused Whoopi of hitting Ms. Salahi. "
Salahi offered her own explanation of the incident during her appearance on the Today show on Thursday telling Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb,"I have someone that I don't even know, I'm a guest of their show and they're berrateing me with 'eff this.' [And] At then at the end she said, 'You well I just, you have to know me, I just say eff this I don't, you know, I don't mean it.'"
Salahi added, "I don't know her personality. I never ... I know her from the movie Sister Act so i don't expect the sister to be saying 'eff you.'"
Salahi and her husband Tareq Salahi made headlines last November for crashing President Obama's first state dinner. They claimed they were invited guests, however, the incident sparked a huge scandal regarding breaches in national security and prompted a federal investigation.
