The iconic singer, whose full name is Whitney Elizabeth Houston, died at age 48 in a room at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Feb. 11, 2012 at 3:55 p.m. The cause of her death is listed as "deferred" on her death certificate, which also states she is "divorced." Her ex is singer Bobby Brown, the father of her daughter Bobbi Kristina, who is also named on her death certificate.
Los Angeles authorities said on February 15 that they will examine her medical records to try to determine was killed her. Houston's hotel room contained bottles of prescription drugs. It is unclear if the singer, who had battled substance abuse for year, had consumed any medications or drank alcohol as well.
According to her death certificate, she will be buried at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield in her native state of New Jersey. Her funeral is set to take place on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012.
