Vienna Girardi dating student after split with Jake Pavelka of 'The Bachelor', report says

Vienna Girardi appears to have moved on from her public relationship with ex-fiance Jake Pavelka, star of The Bachelor, and is reportedly dating a biochemical student named John Sala.

"About to head up to Runyon Canyon with Chloe and John," Girardi Tweeted earlier this week. "Yes, Im dating and he is amazing guy...Im so Happy!!"

Girardi, 24, and Sala, who lives about 65 miles north of New York City, became friends after meeting while vacationing in the Bahamas two years ago, People magazine said, adding: "He recently came to L.A. to visit her, and the two are taking things slow."

Pavelka, 32, had picked Girardi as the winner of the recent 14th season of The Bachelor. Pavelka, who competed on Dancing With the Stars and even brought Girardi for a guest dance on its finale in May, has pursued acting and filmed a guest spot for the Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva that is set to air on Sunday.

He says he is currently not dating anyone and told Us Weekly earlier this month: "You know what, being single sometimes isn't a bad thing. It gives you time to worry about you and work on yourself."

During a confrontation with Pavelka that aired on a special Bachelor reunion segment, Girardi broke down crying after addressing reports he had not been intimate with her in months prior to their split in late June.

"I thought it was because you wanted to wait until marriage or because you were fasting," Girardi said. "I just want to know which excuse it is because you've given me five."

"To me, there's more in a relationship than sex and intimacy," Pavelka had said. "She breaks me down, she undermines me, she's mean, she's always right, I never do anything right. This is it, right here."

Girardi also criticized Pavelka's move to "run to a media outlet and tell his side of the story" following their split, calling him a "famewhore". He had told People magazine that he had broken up with Girardi over the phone and that the two had trust issues.
