Victoria Beckham 4th of July birth rumors are 'rubbish,' rep says
Victoria Beckham and her husband David Beckham are due to become parents for the fourth time "soon," but not on the 4th of July, as rumored.
It was widely reported that the couple planned to welcome their first daughter on Independence Day, which coincides with their 12th wedding anniversary, and that Victoria had booked a Cesarean section surgery at a Los Angeles hospital. A spokesperson for the couple has now said that the rumors are "rubbish."
"The rumors are rubbish, Victoria has not had the baby but she will be giving birth soon," the Beckham's spokesperson told the UK newspaper the Daily Mail. " David Beckham's publicist Simon Oliveira also addressed the rumors on Twitter writing, "Contrary to certain reports, David and Victoria Beckham's baby is not due today and that was never the case." David Beckham sparked the birthday rumors when the soccer star said in an LA Galaxy press conference over the weekend, "We got married on the Fourth of July, 12 years ago, Monday, so it's a special day for us, it always has been and always will be."
David Beckham brought his family to Los Angeles when he was transferred to the LA Galaxy soccer team. The couple already has three sons, 11-year-old Brooklyn, 8-year-old Romeo and 6-year-old Cruz.
"We're really excited," Beckham continued. "You know, it's a whole new different thing for us. To have so much pink in the house, lilac in the house, and dresses... All the clothes [are] ready, the room's ready, so we're all ready for it and all excited."
Victoria is also excited for the new addition to the family and wrote on Twitter, "David has been downloading music for our baby! Rockabye baby lullaby renditions, so cool! Love The Beatles album!!! X VB."
In January, their representative confirmed the pregnancy in a statement to People magazine, their representative said, "David Beckham and Victoria Beckham are delighted to confirm they are expecting their fourth child in the summer."
The two married on July 4, 1999 in Ireland four months after welcoming their first son Brooklyn.
Victoria Beckham, 37, recently launched a new fashion line called Victoria by Victoria Beckham. She was formerly a member of the girl group, the Spice Girls, and was known as Posh Spice.
