Vera Farmiga would spend final moments 'making out'
Vera Farmiga, 37, who stars in the action sci-fi thriller, "Source Code" said that she will probably spend her last eight minutes on earth "panicking" and "making out."
In "Source Code," which was released on Friday, April 1, Jake Gyllenhaal stars as a soldier who wakes up in the body of another man and realizes he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. The mission becomes complicated when the soldier falls in love with one of the passengers (Michelle Monaghan).
The "Source Code" is a computer program that allows someone to enter the last eight minutes of another person's life in order to gain perspective on what happened in an effort to prevent future disasters and Farmiga is the mission controller of the operation.
"I would probably spend four of those minutes panicking that it was my last eight minutes on this planet," Farmiga told OnTheRedCarpet.com host Rachel Smith. "Hopefully I would be able to be very present in the remaining four and have my loved ones there, soul-gazing and making out."
Farmiga made her television debut opposite then unknown Heath Ledger in the Fox adventure series "Roar," where she met her first husband, actor Sebastian Roché ("Supernatural" and "General Hospital"). They were divorced in 2005 and Farmiga married her current husband, musician Renn Hawkey in 2008. A year later, they welcomed their son Finn. And in November, they welcomed a daughter, Gytta Lubov Hawkey. Last year, Farmiga starred opposite George Clooney in "Up in the Air," which earned them both Oscar nominations.
The actress' next role is in "Goats," where she plays a "new-age, bohemian esoteric, mom who believes in a very unstructured environment for raising children." The movie follows a 15 year old boy who moves in with his estranged father (Ty Burrell) and stepmother (Keri Russell). In the film, David Duchovny plays the boy's pot-smoking mentor who herds goats. The role is fitting for Vergara, who has kept pet angora goats since childhood.
