Rob Van Winkle, better known by his rap alias Vanilla Ice, is preparing to hit the small screen again for a new reality series based on his home renovation business.

To promote the show, which is called The Vanilla Ice Project, he recently jumped a 1967 Cadillac Fleetwood through fire and into a lake.

Check out video from the stunt below!

On the show, the rapper and a crew of contractors set out to renovate a different room of a 7,000-square-foot Palm Beach mansion and make it high-tech and environmentally friendly. The DIY Network, which airs the show, says Vanilla Ice brings 15 years of home improvement experience.

Basically, when I had a lot of money when I was younger, I said like most rock stars who are young and dumb let me go buy a bunch of houses, he tells The New York Times about the beginning of his real estate ventures. When I sold them, I made, on each one of them, $300,000 to $400,000. I stopped in my tracks and said, It cant be that easy. But it was."

According to the former rap star, he learned to shift his business when the housing market crashed. I was building homes in Florida, from $300,000 to $1.5 million. The bottom dropped out of the real estate market, but I learned how to go to these seminars and read these books, he says. One of the adjustments was, O.K., now you can buy a foreclosed, or tax-lien or short-sale home for a lot less than you can build a home.

The Vanilla Ice Project airs on the DIY Network on October 14. Check out a video of Vanilla Ice's jump!
