Uggie, the dog from 'The Artist,' to reportedly appear in a skit at the Oscars
Uggie, the Jack Russell Terrier that stars in the Academy Award-nominated film "The Artist," might appear in a skit for the award show.
Uggie stole the spotlight from his human co-stars when he appeared on stage at the Golden Globes earlier this month and according to The Hollywood Reporter, the 10-year-old dog has been rehearsing a skit with Billy Crystal for the Oscars.
Academy spokespeople had no immediate comment on the reports. According to the industry paper, Uggie is set to retire after the award season is over. His brother, a Jack Russell Terrier named Dash, is set to replace him.
The dog previously worked in "Water for Elephants" with Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon.
