'True Grit's Matt Damon 'in negotiations' with 4 daughters over sleep
Matt Damon jokes that he is "in negotiations" with his and wife Luciana's four daughters, including their new baby Stella, to allow him to get some more sleep.
The couple married in 2005 and parents to Isabella, 4, Gia, 2. Stella was born in October and Damon's wife has an 11-year-old daughter named Alexia from a previous relationship.
"I'm in negotiations with all four of my daughters to allow me to sleep a little more," Damon said in a recent satellite interview with OnTheRedCarpet.com and other press outlets to promote his new film, "True Grit". "That's going, I think, well. I got maybe three and a half hours last night."
In "True Grit," which hit theaters on Wednesday, a teenage farm girl named Mattie, played by Hailee Steinfeld, seeks to find the man who murdered her father - Tom Chaney, who is portrayed by Josh Brolin. She hires a U.S. marshal with "true grit" - Reuben J. "Rooster" Cogburn, played by Jeff Bridges, to help her locate him. Damon, sporting sideburns, joins them as Texas Ranger La Boeuf, who wants Chaney for his own purposes.
The film's directors, Joel and Ethan Coen, won three Oscars for their 2007 movie "No Country for Old Men", which also starred Brolin. Bridges starred in the Cohen brothers' 1998 cult hit "The Big Lebowski".
