Tori Spelling to plan Shannen Doherty's wedding?
Tori Spelling says she would like to plan the wedding of her old "Beverly Hills, 90210" co-star Shannen Doherty.
Doherty, 40, is set to marry 37-year-old photographer Kurt Iswarienko. The two have not announced a wedding date but will appear in a new WE tv reality show that will show them planning their wedding, a spokesperson for the cable network confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com last month. The series is set to air in January 2012.
"I'll do the wedding," People magazine quoted Spelling, 38, as telling "ET Canada," when asked about the show.
Doherty has not responded publicly to Spelling's remarks or commented on her engagement and new series.
Spelling, who appeared with Doherty on "Beverly Hills, 90210" in the 1990s, and her husband, Dean McDermott, star in their own several reality show, "Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings." On the series, which airs on the Oxygen network, the actors help couples plan their nuptials.
This will mark Doherty's third marriage. She and Iswarienko have been dating since at least 2009.
In the 1990s, Doherty was engaged to Chicago real-estate manager Chris Foufas and to Dean Factor, Max Factor cosmetics company heir.
At age 22, Doherty married Ashley Hamilton, son of actor George Hamilton, in September 1993. Her husband was 19. The wedding took place in the back yard of her rented Los Angeles home just weeks after she and "Breakfast Club" actor Judd Nelson broke up.
Months later, in April 1994, Doherty filed for divorce. It was finalized that November.
In the 1995 Kevin Smith comedy film "Mallrats," Doherty's character becomes involved in a sexual relationship with the villain Shannon Hamilton, who is played by Ben Affleck.
In January 2002, Doherty married actor Rick Salomon. Their marriage was annulled in May 2003.
Weeks earlier, Doherty and Paris Hilton made headlines when they fought over Salomon in a nightclub. Hilton, an heiress and reality star herself, and Saloman had videotaped themselves having sex in 2001. The footage hit the Web in 2003, weeks before the debut of her reality show "The Simple Life," and made Hilton famous.
Spelling and McDermott married in 2006. They have two children - Liam, 4, and Stella, 3. Spelling is currently seven months pregnant with the couple's third baby.
