Tia Mowry names newborn son Cree Taylor Hardrict
Tia Mowry and husband Cory Hardrict recently welcomed their first child, a baby boy on June 28 and have finally announced his name.
The 32-year-old actress and her husband told People magazine on Thursday that they named their son Cree Taylor Hardrict.
Mowry stars on the BET show "The Game" and once appeared with her twin sister Tamera on the 1990s comedy series "Sister, Sister." Hardrict is also an actor. He appeared on the show "Lincoln Heights" and also starred in the film "Battle: Los Angeles." He and Mowry wed in 2008 in a ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.
Earlier this month, Mowry and her sister and several friends celebrated the upcoming birth with a baby shower at a post hotel in West Hollywood.
The twins showcase their lives and Tia Mowry's pregnancy in a new reality show, "Tia & Tamera," which is set to premiere on the Style Network on August 8 at 9 p.m.. The show's previous tentative title was "Tia & Tamera Take 2."
In May, Mowry stripped down and showcased her baby bump in a revealing photo posted on People's website. She told the magazine that her mother inspired her to pose for the picture, adding: "I feel empowered. I feel sexy."
Many celebrities have posed naked or seemingly nude in magazines while they were pregnant - namely Demi Moore, Britney Spears and Mariah Carey, who gave birth to her first children - a twin son and daughter - in April.
