'The Walking Dead' midseason 4 finale earns top ratings (Poll)
The midseason finale of season 4 of hit AMC zombie show "The Walking Dead" was watched by more than 12.1 million people.
The episode, which aired on Sunday, Dec. 1, was the eighth show of the season and earned a rating of 7.7 among adults between ages 18 and 49. The average rating for all of the season 4 episodes of "The Walking Dead," one of the most popular programs on television (that has been renewed for season 5), that have aired so far is 8.4 in the targeted demographic. The series returns on Feb. 9.
"We couldn't be happier that audiences are continuing to respond in ever-larger numbers to the outstanding work of this amazingly talented team," Charlie Collier, AMC's president, said in an AMC statement to OTRC.com on Monday. "We're only at the mid-point of this fourth season, but I know I speak for the entire cast and crew in Atlanta when I say thank you to the fans for joining in our passion for these characters and their journey."
The previous episode of "The Walking Dead" that aired on Nov. 24 earned a rating of 5.7 and was watched by 11.2 million people.
