Entertainment News: the talk
Leah Remini was "not asked back" to the CBS morning talk show "The Talk" seven months ago and now she's claimed that Sharon Osbourne got her and fellow co-host Holly Robinson Peete fired.
"Sharon thought me and Holly were 'Ghetto,' (her words) we were not funny, awkward and didn't know ourselves," Remini tweeted on Monday in response to a fan's question, adding later, "She said she was the reason we were let go."
Aisha Tyler has signed on to co-host on the panel of "The Talk."
The comedian's first show with her new title was on Monday, October 24, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Tyler fills in one of the spots left by Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete, who were not asked back for the show's second season. Tyler joins Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood, who is another new addition this season, on the current line-up on the show.
Former "Saturday Night Live" cast member Molly Shannon will be guest hosting the CBS morning talk show "The Talk" when it returns for a second season.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Shannon's gig with the show is slated to last through September and she was brought on to help cover the duties left by Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete, whose contracts were not renewed.
Leah Remini is leaving the CBS morning talk show "The Talk," the former "King of Queens" star confirmed on Twitter.
"It is official: I am sorry to say that I have NOT been asked back on the show," Remini wrote on the social networking site on Thursday evening. "Sorry to my fans. U worked so hard! I adore u guys."
