'The Office' star Melora Hardin thinks the show can go on without star Steve Carell Melora Hardin, who plays Michael Scott's ex-love Jan Levinson on The Office, believes despite Steve Carell's departure after next season, the show will be just fine.

"I think the show can continue without him," Hardin told On The Red Carpets Rachel Smith at the recent Mummies of the World event at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.  "I think there's really strong characters on the show and I think they can focus on other characters for a while."

The star also dropped some details on the next season so be warned, spoilers ahead!

Hardin revealed that she will be back next season - the show's seventh - though she claims to know little else. "They're just breaking the story now, but I'm sure they'll be wonderful surprises," she said. "Because Jan's full of crazy, wonderful surprises."

Last we left Jan, she had just given birth to baby Astrid and after noticing chemistry between Michael and Holly, asked Michael to never dater her.
