The CW announced on Wednesday, December 12, that is developing a reality competition series called "The Hunt" that has elements very similar to those written about in the popular book and portrayed in the hit film "The Hunger Games."
According to a statement by the network, "The Hunt" will be a one-hour long wilderness competition series that takes place over the course of a month.
Liam Hemsworth injured his knee on the set of the upcoming film, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."
"I twisted my knee," Hemsworth told USA Today on October 18. "I try to just fight through it. There's so many people standing around waiting for you to do your thing. You feel sort of obligated not to let everyone down."
"Snow White and the Huntsman" actor Sam Claflin has been cast as Finnick Odair in the adventure film "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," following weeks of speculation.
Variety magazine had reported in mid-July that the 26-year-old British actor was the choice to portray the coveted role in the film, the follow-up to this year's blockbuster "The Hunger Games," which starred Jennifer Lawrence and made more than $684 million worldwide since its March release.

The actress will reportedly play Johanna Mason, according to The Hollywood Reporter, who says that Malone is in early negotiations for the role. The character is a tribute that Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) must face off when they return to The Hunger Games arena for the Quarter Quell.
