'The Hasselhoffs' canceled after two episodes
"The Hasselhoffs", David Hasselhoff's reality show starring his daughters Hayley and Taylor Ann, has been pulled by A&E after two episodes, both of which aired on Sunday and had low ratings.
The series showed the 58-year-old former "Baywatch" star and "America's Got Talent" judge helping the two with their music careers. David Hasselhoff is himself a popular pop artist in Europe, especially in Germany. A&E confirmed the show was taken off its schedule but did not rule out airing the remaining six episodes that were filmed, People magazine reported.
Some 718,000 viewers watched the first half-hour episode of "The Hasselhoffs", while the second one had 505,000 viewers, the Hollywood Reporter said.
Taylor Ann Hasselhoff, 20, referenced the cancelation on her Twitter page, echoing a fan's comment to that urged A&E to bring back the show.
In September, David Hasselhoff participated in the 11th season of "Dancing With the Stars", ABC's ballroom dancing reality show. He was the first contestant to be voted off.
Hayley Hasselhoff, 18, appeared earlier this year on the ABC Family drama series "Huge", which was canceled after one season. The show depicted a group of teenagers at a weight-loss camp and starred "Hairspray" actress Nikki Blonsky.
