'The Bachelor' finale: who got the ring? (spoiler)
"The Bachelor" reached its final episode of season 16 on Monday, March 12 and Ben Flajnik made his final decision on who he would ask the big question.
On the episode, which aired at 8 p.m. ET, Flajnik chose between finalists Lindzi Cox and Courtney Robertson and popped the question in the picturesque Swiss mountainside (See spoilers below).
Flajnik finally proposed to Courtney Robertson with a Princess-cut Neil Lane diamond ring, telling her "You are my forever." Robertson, who is a 28-year-old model and was the villain of the season replied, "Yes, of course I will. I love you so much."
Robertson infamously invited Flajnik skinny-dipping on one of the first episodes of the season. She also butted heads with most of the other contestants. She also nicknamed her competitors Lindzi Cox and Nicki Sterling "Horsey" and "Fatty."
Cox, a 27-year-old business development manager from Seattle, Washington got closer to Flajnik in the last episode after rappelling down a 300-foot ravine and getting close in a hot tub. She was prepared to say yes to Flajnik's proposal and confessed her love for him before Flajnik told her he loved someone else.
Meanwhile, Robertson and Flajnik took a train ride and had a picnic in a lush meadow. Courtney took the opportunity to apologize for her sometimes wicked behavior with the women in the house.
Flajnik told OnTheRedCarpet.com after last week's "The Bachelor: The Women Tell All" special that he had no regrets about his final decision.
"In living it, in the moment, it is a good feeling," Flajnik said of the finale. "I have no regrets in doing what I did in that moment, so it's part of my life I'll always remember. That's for sure."
After surviving the "Women Tell All," Flajnik told OnTheRedCarpet.com that "no man in his right mind" would go through the experience.
"Only because I'm under contract, no one in his right mind would agree to do anything like that," Flajnik told OnTheRedCarpet.com co-host Chris Balish. "At the end of the day, it's all about chemistry and timing for me and the reason those women were sitting on the stage tonight was just because of that. We didn't have that in those moments - it's really all because of that... It's so hard to say why things didn't work out between you and that person."
Flajnik was confirmed as the bachelor for season 16 in September. The 28-year-old winemaker from Sonoma, California had fallen for recent "Bachelorette" star Ashley Hebert and made it down to the final two. He proposed but she picked J.P Rosenbaum over him. They are now engaged. (Check out a recap and photos from the finale.)
