Taylor Swift to co-host Grammy nominations concert with LL Cool J
Taylor Swift will co-host "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! - Countdown To Music's Biggest Night" with LL Cool J, The Recording Academy announced on October 29.
The special will announce nominations in several categories for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards and will air on December 5 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. Luke Bryan and Maroon 5 will also perform on the one-hour long telecast. Additional performers will be announced at a later date.
The upcoming concert marks the fifth time Grammy nominations will be announced live on television and LL Cool J has hosted the concert telecast since its inception in December 2008. Swift also co-hosted the first nominations special with LL Cool J, whose real name is James Todd Smith.
Swift and LL Cool J appeared in a promotional spot for last year's Grammy Award ceremony. The 54th Annual Grammy Awards, which aired in February 2011, attracted 39.9 million viewers, the largest GRAMMY audience since 1984 and the second largest in history.
The 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards, will air live from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
Swift, 22, released her fourth studio album titled "Red" on October 22. The album features her hit single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." Last week, Swift released a new music video for the single "Begin Again."
The singer will perform at the 2012 American Music Awards. Other performers include Nicki Minaj, Christina Aguilera and Linkin Park. The show will air live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, November 18 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
