Taylor Swift rushes release of single Mine because of leak

Big Machine Records, the record company of country superstar Taylor Swift, was forced to release her single Mine on Wednesday - 12 days ahead of schedule - after an MP3 file of low-quality became available online, according to Reuters.

It is the first single from her upcoming album Speak Now, and was quickly made available for download on iTunes by the record company where it shot up to No.1 on the iTunes singles chart, just hours after the bootlegged copy appeared online. I landed in Japan and got 20 texts and looked at iTunes and got tears in my eyes," Swift Tweeted Thursday. "And so, we begin again."

Speak Now is Swift's third album and is set for an October 25 release. Its the follow-up to the extremely successful Fearless, which sold 5.95 million copies in the United States alone.

Swift told MTV in July that Mine was a personal single for her. "I think I've developed this pattern of running away when it comes time to fall in love and stay in a relationship," She said. "The song is sort of about finding the exception to that and finding someone who would make you believe in love and realize that it could work out, because I'm never ever going to go past hoping that love works out."
