Taylor Swift debuts 'Begin Again' music video - watch
Taylor Swift has released a somber, new music video for the closing track of her new album "Red."
Swift, 22, debuted the music video for her newest single, "Begin Again," on Wednesday, October 24. The video features Swift pensively wandering around the streets of Paris and riding her bike on cobblestone roads. Eventually, we see Swift in a Parisian cafe, where she engages in conversation with a man who appears to be vying for her attention, eventually earning her affection (Watch video below.)
"I think we've all had that day where we just decide to wander around and think about things," Swift told MTV news on October 23. "It's like a love letter to Paris."
The song has a much more somber tone than some of Swift's other singles, namely her recent "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," and talks about the recovery process that many go through after enduring a bad breakup.
Swift sings: "I've been spending the last eight months/ Thinking all love ever does is break and burn and end/ But on a Wednesday in a cafe/ I watched it begin again."
On October 23, the country crooner rocked out in Times Square in New York City on Tuesday, October 23, during a mini-concert featured on ABC's "Good Morning America" to promote her new album, "Red."
Swift dazzled the stage with her new single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" as well as the new track "Red" and the song "Love Story," from her 2008 album "Fearless." Her new record was released on October 22 and is currently No. 1 on iTunes.
Swift is also slated to perform at the 2012 American Music Awards on November 18 along with other recently announcede performers Nicki Minaj, Christina Aguilera and Linkin Park.
