Tara Reid of 'American Pie': 'Just got married in Greece'
Tara Reid, best known for her role in the "American Pie" films, says she recently got married in Greece.
The 35-year-old said on her Twitter page that she and a man named Zack Kehayov tied the knot on Saturday, August 13. Earlier that day, she announced that she was engaged. Her spokesperson had no immediate comment.
This marks the first known marriage for the actress, who played Vicky Lathum in the 1999 R-rated teen comedy "American Pie" and in its 2001 sequel.
"I just got engaged!" Reid Tweeted on Saturday.
Later that day, she said: "Just got married in Greece. I love being a wife!"
On Monday, Reid revealed the name of her new husband, Tweeting: "His name is Zack Kehayov." She also posted a photo of a hand with a jeweled ring.
Reid was earlier this year linked to Michael Lillelund, a Danish businessman. In 2009, she began dating Michael Axtmann, a German Internet entrepreneur. They became engaged but Reid announced in April 2010 that their wedding was off. About 10 years ago, Reid was engaged to NBC talk show host Carson Daly.
Reid rose to fame as a teen sex symbol in the 1990s. Aside from her part in "American Pie" and its 2001 sequel, she is also known for playing Bunny Lebowski in the 1998 cult comedy movie "The Big Lebowski" and for her role as college journalist Gwen Pearson in the 2002 comedy movie "Van Wilder," which starred Ryan Reynolds.
In 2005, Reid hosted the E! reality series "Wild On," which saw her traveling to countries such as Greece, France and Italy and attending parties at nightclubs and other hot spots. In recent years, Reid had often been featured in tabloids, which have mocked her appearance. The slim star told Us Weekly in 2010 that she underwent plastic surgery to fix cosmetic procedures done on her breasts and stomach years earlier, which made her embarrassed to wear a bikini in public. On August 10, Reid posted a photo of herself lying on a patch of sand in a string, teal bikini, saying: "Loving Life."
Reid recently filmed "American Reunion," the fourth big-screen sequel to "American Pie," along with most of the franchise's original cast members. The movie is set for release on April 6, 2012.
"Well that's it!" Reid Tweeted on August 5. "I just wrapped 'American Reunion.' I had the best time ever! Bye Bye American Pie! Xoxo."
