Tara Reid claims she was 'never really married' to Zack Kehayov
Tara Reid's quickie wedding in Greece in August may not have been legal.
The 35-year-old former "American Pie" star tells TMZ in a video, which can be seen below, that she was "never really married" to Zack Kehayov. When asked why, she replied that the marriage was "never legal."
Previously the actress talked about her "husband" on her Twitter page and announced bother her engagement and the marriage on the social networking site.
"I just got engaged!" Reid Tweeted on Saturday, August 13.
Later that day, she said: "Just got married in Greece. I love being a wife!"
On August 15, Reid revealed the name of her new husband, Tweeting: "His name is Zack Kehayov." She also posted a photo of a hand with a jeweled ring.
On Wednesday, Reid made no mention of the video or her marriage on her official Twitter page as of the time of this writing. Instead the actress talked about shooting a music video for the band Jedward.The alleged union was the first known marriage for the actress, who played Vicky Lathum in the 1999 R-rated teen comedy "American Pie" and in its 2001 sequel.
Reid was earlier this year linked to Michael Lillelund, a Danish businessman. In 2009, she began dating Michael Axtmann, a German Internet entrepreneur. They became engaged but Reid announced in April 2010 that their wedding was off. About 10 years ago, Reid was engaged to NBC talk show host Carson Daly.
Reid rose to fame as a teen sex symbol in the 1990s. Aside from her part in "American Pie" and its 2001 sequel, she is also known for playing Bunny Lebowski in the 1998 cult comedy movie "The Big Lebowski" and for her role as college journalist Gwen Pearson in the 2002 comedy movie "Van Wilder," which starred Ryan Reynolds.
In 2005, Reid hosted the E! reality series "Wild On," which saw her traveling to countries such as Greece, France and Italy and attending parties at nightclubs and other hot spots.
Reid recently filmed "American Reunion," the fourth big-screen sequel to "American Pie," along with most of the franchise's original cast members. The movie is set for release on April 6, 2012.
