Tamar Braxton gets WE tv spin-off, 'Tamar & Vince'
Tamar Braxton and husband Vince Herbert of the WE tv reality show "Braxton Family Values" are getting their own spin-off called "Tamar & Vince."
The 34-year-old is the youngest sister of acclaimed singer Toni Braxton and is seen by many to be the breakout star of "Braxton Family Values." Herbert, a music producer, and the two women appear on the show with their headstrong mother Evelyn.
"Tamar & Vince" will focus on the hectic lives and careers of Tamar Braxton and her husband, who she wed in 2008, as seen in a photo that aired on "Braxton Family Values" (see above). The reality actress, who once sang with sister Toni in the R&B group "The Braxtons," is trying to launch her own solo album.
"Viewers will get an inside look at their complicated yet devoted relationship, including how their upscale lifestyle must adjust as Vince recovers from a recent life-threatening health scare," WE tv said in a statement obtained by OnTheRedCarpet.com on Monday, December 19.
In October, Herbert was hospitalized after suffering a pulmonary embolism, or a blod clot in his lung.
WE tv has ordered eight one-hour episodes of the new spin-off, which is tentatively scheduled to premiere in late 2012. Production for the show will begin in March."Braxton Family Values" airs on WE tv on Thursday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
