'Survivor's Rob & Amber Mariano welcome daughter No. 3
Rob Mariano, aka Boston Rob, and wife and fellow 'Survivor' alum Amber, have welcomed their third daughter, Isabetta Rose.
Amber, 33, gave birth on May 5 - the Mexican holiday of Cinco de Mayo, in Pensacola, Florida, where they live, People magazine reported on Thursday.
The couple is one of the most notorious in reality television. The two are also parents to Lucia Rose, 2, and Carina Rose, who is 18 months old.
"Lucia, our oldest, was born July 4. So we have both Mexico and the United States' Independence Days covered," Amber told People.
Despite popular belief, Cinco de Mayo is not actually Mexico's Independence Day, which takes place on September 16. The former holiday commemorates the 1862 Battle of Puebla between an army made up of mostly Mexican Indian soldiers against Napoleon III's invading French forces. Millions of people in the United States celebrate it with Mexican-themed parties and get-togethers at bars.
Mariano, 36, began his reality television career as the scheming bad boy on the fourth season of Survivor in 2002. Sparks flew when he met season 2 contestant Amber Brkich on the reality show's first 'All-Stars' season in 2004.
Their collaborative efforts on the show to outwit, outlast and outplay the rest of the players led Amber to win the game - and Rob to propose on the finale. They married in 2005 and their wedding was made into a TV special. The couple went on to star together on several more reality shows, including two seasons of 'The Amazing Race' and the short-lived series 'Rob and Amber: Against the Odds'.
Mariano competed on 'Survivor' two more times and in 2011, began co-hosting the History channel travel series 'Around the World in 80 Ways' with monster truck driver Dennis Anderson.
