Stephen King to write 'Walking Dead' episode?
03/21/2011 by Corinne Heller
Stephen King may pen a script for an episode for the AMC zombie series "The Walking Dead," it was reported on Monday, March 21.
The veteran horror novelist is currently involved in early talks to co-write an episode with his son Joe Hill, Entertainment Weekly said. King told the magazine that Frank Darabont, the show's executive producer, "has expressed enthusiastic interest for season 2 or possibly 3."
Darabont directed and wrote the screenplays for the 1994 movie "The Shawshank Redemption" and the 1999 film "The Green Mile," both of which are based on King's stories.
The second season of "The Walking Dead" is expected to air in the fall of 2011.
