The reality star was nabbed when he was trying to leave the country and was arrested on a felony firearm possession charge. "Arrested in Costa Rica, Pratt Tweeted Sunday. If I knew the gov't was Team Jacob, I wouldve kept my mouth shut."

Pratt told MTV in August that he would be traveling to Costa Rica in hopes of reconciling with his soon-to-be ex-wife Heidi Montag. Montag filed for divorce from Pratt in July, amending a previous petition for legal separation submitted earlier in the year. He signed the papers on August 13 and their divorce is expected to be finalized on Feb. 14, 2011 - Valentine's Day.

He recently publicly apologized to Montag for bad-mouthing her during their divorce proceedings and threatening to release a sex tape. "I need to apologize to Heidi and my 11.5 fans," he Tweeted. "I'm an epic douche - and you deserve better."

Pratt, a 27-year-old Los Angeles socialite and the self-proclaimed villain of The Hills, explained his arrest to MTV in a statement that said, "As part of my spiritual cleansing I've spent the last week living alone in the jungle, reflecting on my past transgressions, and working to become a better person." He added, "As I departed the country this morning to continue my spiritual journey, I mistakenly brought my hunting weapons to the airport. It was an honest mistake, and they sent me on my way."

Showing a sense of humor about the matter, Pratt later Tweeted, "Thanks to jail, I finally have something in common with Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and that Lohan chick!"
