Snooki denies pregnancy, wonders if she's gotten fat
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, star of MTV reality show "Jersey Shore," has denied reports that she is expecting a bambino with boyfriend Jionni LaValle.
"When I first heard it this morning, I thought everyone is thinking I'm fat or something," Snooki told Fox411 on Wednesday. "Like, am I gaining weight again? I'm not pregnant, so am I fat now? ...There's a lot of rumors."
The 24-year-old reality star was referring to a Star magazine report that she was expecting her first child with LaValle, her boyfriend of one year.
The tabloid piece referred to an "insider" who allegedly confirmed the news and said that the plot of her spinoff series was being reworked to accommodate the pregnancy. Snooki sparked further speculation when she Tweeted about her "cravings" earlier in the month.
"Late night craving...yogurt hits the fricken spot ! Mmmmmm," Snooki wrote on January 24.
Snooki expressed her frustration with the press on Wednesday, Tweeting, "Done with press for the day! What a day in the twilight zone lmao what the hell?!"
Snooki recently trimmed down her 4 foot, 9 inch frame to 102 pounds and told fans in December, "So happy I'm at my goal weight I was when I was in high school! Feelin fit is amazing and can't wait to tone up hardcore."
The reality star revealed in 2010 that she had battled anorexia and bulimia in high school, eventually weighing only 80 pounds after eating nothing but salad and a cracker a day.
Snooki recently rang in the New Year in Las Vegas with LaValle. She said that she tried on a $500,000 engagement ring over the holidays, but her boyfriend made her take it off.
"Jersey Shore" depicts the lives of party-loving, self-proclaimed "Guidos and Guidettes" in New Jersey and contains censored swearing and sexual or scantily clad images.
The fourth season of "Jersey Shore" was filmed mostly in Italy but the cast headed back to New Jersey for season 5, which began airing earlier this month. Polizzi is one of the show's breakout stars and reportedly earns $100,000 per episode.
She and her co-star Jenni "JWoww" Farley are set to appear on a spinoff show, which will follow the friends as they move in together. MTV announced in April 2011 that they would also launch a spinoff following Paul "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio.
