Smallvilles Aquaman says final season breaks the rules (Spoilers)
For nine seasons, Smallville fans watched Clark Kent make leaps and bounds toward his destiny of becoming the worlds greatest super-hero. But super-fans know that from the beginning, its creators promised No Tights, No Flights. Essentially, that Clark would never don the costume and fly away as Superman.
But as the tenth and final season approaches faster than a speeding bullet, those rules may be changing.
On The Red Carpet caught up with Alan Ritchson, who splashes back on the show as Aquaman this November, at the MTV Video Music Awards. He shed some light on the Man of Steels next chapter. Check out what he had to say! (Spoiler Alert!)
Can I say? Am I allowed to say? I think they might be breaking some rules this season. Some of those hardset rules. I think they might be breaking some rules. I dont know, he laughed. I might get shot now before I get to Vancouver to shoot this. But thats the word on the street.
Ritchson was also pumped about his character, which he says will dive into much deeper waters this season.
I think all I can really say is its going to be darker this year. Which Im really excited about. I think especially Aquaman gets a bad rap, kind of a sugar coated superhero, so to see some of the darker, edgier sides of these characters is going to be a lot of fun, he said.
Smallville premieres September 24th on the CW.
