Simpson sisters launching tween fashion line
Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee, a fellow pop singer, are set to launch a tween fashion line this fall, which will include activewear, denim, hoodies, graphic T-shirts, footwear, jackets and more.
Simpson is already known for her fashion collections that are marketed to young women, which have raked in almost $1 billion in sales.
"Creating a tween apparel collection was a natural extension for the brand," People magazine quoted Simpson as saying in a statement to Women's Wear Daily, which carried the report. "I'm excited to bring my sister, Ashlee, along as co-creative director of this division, because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today's tweens."
This is the first time the sisters have collaborated on such a project. Their new tween collection is licensed by the Jones Group and is set to be sold in more than 400 stories across North America.
