Simon Cowell gets egged on 'Britain's Got Talent' (Video)
Simon Cowell received a very unpleasant surprise on the June 8 episode of "Britain's Got Talent."
The television personality, who acts as a judge on the singing competition series, was egged during the live finale of the British show.
The woman behind the surprise, Natalie Holt, pelted at least five eggs in Cowell's direction during a contestant's performance. She can be seen cutting through the two performers on stage while holding a carton of eggs (See video below).
According to Entertainment Weekly, Holt is a viola player who was already on stage with the back-up orchestra. The website reports that she was a contestant on the show last year.
Cowell, who is known for his snarky and sometimes rude critiques as a judge, sounded off about the incident on his official Twitter page -- in typical Simon fashion.
"I don't think eggs should be allowed on talent shows. Discuss?" he Tweeted following the televised incident.
While Holt appeared joyous after her successful egging, she did feel bad about one thing -- interrupting Adam and Richard Johnson's performance.
Following the show, Holt released a statement to EW, saying: "I want to apologize to Richard and Adam for overshadowing their performance. I've never done anything like this before and in hindsight I have realized it was a silly thing to do."
The Johnson brothers don't have a reason to fret, however, because Cowell made sure to give them the attention they deserved on Twitter: "Bloody hell! Just watched the Adam and Richard performance back. They didn't miss a note.."
