Shia LaBeouf briefly detained after alleged bar fight, report says

Actor Shia LaBeouf reportedly was briefly placed in handcuffs early Saturday morning following an alleged altercation outside a San Fernando Valley bar.

The reported confrontation happened between the 24-year-old actor and another bar patron outside of Mad Bull's Tavern, according to The Hollywood Reporter. LaBeouf was reportedly punched in the face. The two men were questioned by Los Angeles police and released shortly after 1 a.m.

The owner of the bar told US Magazine that it was "just boys being boys."

LaBeouf is known for his roles in the "Transformers" films, "Eagle Eye," "Disturbia" and "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps."
