Selena Gomez was in rehab for 2 weeks, report says
Selena Gomez spent two weeks in January at a rehab facility, according to reports.
Gomez reportedly checked herself into The Meadows rehab center in Arizona in January, however, her reason for entering treatment has not been disclosed. The singer/actress' spokesperson had no immediate comment.
"Selena voluntarily spent time at Meadows but not for substance abuse," Gomez's spokesperson told People magazine.
The Meadows rehab center in Arizona treats a wide variety of conditions, including but not limited to drug, alcohol and sexual addictions, as well as depression, trauma and work addiction.
In December 2013, Gomez canceled the Australian leg of her "Stars Dance" tour, originally set to kick off on Feb. 1. The "Come & Get It" singer said in a statement to OTRC.com that she wanted to spend some time on herself.
"My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them," Gomez said. "But it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be."
