Selena Gomez says had 'a shot of Jack' when she turned 21 (Video)
Selena Gomez appeared on "The Tonight Show" on Tuesday, July 23, and the actress/singer talked about recently celebrating her 21st birthday and her first legal alcoholic drink.
Gomez officially turned 21 on July 22. When asked by host Jay Leno what her first legal drink was, Gomez replied, "I had a shot of Jack [Daniels]."
When asked how many shots of the whiskey she had, Gomez said, "I don't remember."
She also said she was a little hungover and that she is planning a bigger, gypsy-themed party with friends for the weekend.
The singer and actress also admitted to Leno that she's "still not a good driver."
"The other day I had the paparazzi reverse for me because I couldn't get out of the spot," she said with a laugh. "They blocked me in and I couldn't reverse, so I was like, 'Will you just do it for me?'"
Her album "Stars Dance" went on sale on Tuesday. During a chat with fans in June, Gomez was asked what word she would use to describe her new album.
"I would probably say 'Therapeutic' or 'Confidence.' Those are two different meanings to me personally and I gave you two and you asked for one, so I'm sorry but I'm in a really -- I'm in a good place and I think this album reflects that completely for me," she said.
Gomez is also set to appear with Ethan Hawke in the upcoming film "Getaway," which is due out on August 30.
