After 14 years of marriage, actors Sean Penn and Robin Wright are officially divorced according to People.

Wright first filed for divorce in December 2007 but later withdrew her petition in April 2008. She was back in court in April 2009 asking for legal separation, but the couple reconciled a month later. The actress sought divorce a second time last August citing irreconcilable differences. The two officially divorced on July 22.

It was the second marriage for Penn, 49, and Wright, 44. The couple has two children together, 19 year-old daughter Dylan, and 17 year-old son Hopper Jack. The divorce was finalized in Marin County, California.

This marks a difficult year for Penn who, on May 12, pleaded no contest on to vandalism charges stemming from a confrontation with a photographer in October 2009 and was sentenced to 36 hours of anger management sessions and three years probation after reaching a plea deal.

The Oscar-winning actor was charged in February with battery and vandalism. He entered his no contest plea to misdemeanor vandalism through his attorney at a Los Angeles court on May 12. One count of battery was dropped.
