Sara Rue: I'm close to becoming 'bridezilla' ahead of wedding
Sara Rue, an actress and Jenny Craig spokesmodel, says she is close to "turning into a bridezilla" as she prepares for her upcoming wedding, which will feature beer pong and a theme of "hummingbirds and butterflies."
Rue, 32, is set to marry teacher Kevin Price later this month. The red-headed actress, known for shows such as "Less Than Perfect" and the reality series "Shedding For The Wedding," celebrated her bachelorette party at the Las Vegas club TAO Beach over the weekend (see photos).
"I'm turning into a bridezilla," she told People magazine recently. "I'm not there yet, but I'm close. I was pretty cool for the first three or four months of planning, and now that we're getting closer, I'm becoming insane."
People magazine said the theme of their wedding will be "hummingbirds and butterflies" and that the reception will include beer pong games, "since that's how the couple met." The bride will wear an Amsale wedding gown.
Rue told the magazine she has two different bridesmaid dresses picked out, adding: "If I don't like one color, then I have the other one. It's that kind of craziness. I'm getting very detail oriented in a very O.C.D. kind of way, which is not a good thing when you can't control it."
She later said on Twitter: "Omg just got the cutest clutches for my bridesmaids from besohandbags.com !!! Love them!"
Rue made headlines in April when she donned a bikini for the first time and posed for a People magazine shoot (see video). The actress had lost 50 pounds on the Jenny Craig program after struggling with weight problems for years.
Rue showed off her figure in a white, layered sundress accented with jewelry by Badgley Mishka and Lia Sophia at her bachelorette party. She was joined by family and friends, including her sister Leah, her "Man Maid" Elias Madias and actress Lindsay Price, who starred with her in the short-lived ABC series "Eastwick."
