Sara Rue is glad she doesn't have to lose weight for her wedding
Sara Rue says that she's happy she doesn't have to lose weight for her upcoming wedding to teacher Kevin Price.
Rue is the host of CW's new reality competition, "Shedding for the Wedding" where nine overweight couples will compete to lose the most weight and win their dream wedding. In 2010, the actress lost 50 lbs on the Jenny Craig weight-loss program.
"It's nice to not have that be a stressful thing," Rue told People magazine. "Planning a wedding can be stressful enough, and I'm glad I don't have that to worry about... I do my maintenance by exercising and watching what I eat, but of course I may want to lose a little bit more just so I look and feel great in my wedding dress."
In October, Rue ran her first half marathon and announced on her Twitter page that she forgot to pack underwear and would be running "commando." Rue recently guest-starred on the CBS show, "The Big Bang Theory" and previously starred in four seasons of ABC's "Less Than Perfect." She has also acted in movies like "Can't Hardly Wait" and "Pearl Harbor."
The 32-year-old actress was previously married for six-years to documentary filmmaker Mischa Livingstone. The couple divorced in 2007.
In November, Rue told People magazine that she had broken up with her fiance, Kevin Price at one point, but gave him a second chance, because the sex was "just so good."
"Shedding for the Wedding" premieres Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on the CW.
