Sara Paxton talks about training with Navy Seals for 'Shark Night 3D'
Sara Paxton said she trained with Navy Seals for "Shark Night 3D," but despite the tough training, she remains terrified of sharks.
"I'm really scared of sharks actually, I see a ball of seaweed and I'm like 'Agh! It's a shark!'" Paxton told OnTheRedCarpet.com co-host Chris Balish at a screening for the film. "We did amazing training actually, we trained with the Navy Seals, so not only do they catch terrorists, they also train actors. It was really awesome, they taught us how to breathe with scuba regulators in order to do the underwater fights and stuff like that. They're really cool guys."
"Shark Night 3D" follows seven vacationers whose weekend at a lake house in the Louisiana Gulf turns into a nightmare when they are subjected to a series of shark attacks.
"I actually snuck into one of those free screenings and it's really fun!" Paxton said. "It's a fun movie, there's a lot of scares, you're gonna jump out of your seat, but it's such a good way to end your summer."
Paxton rose to fame playing the title role in the TV series "Darcy's Wild Life" and Sarah Borden in The WB's "Summerland." She has also appeared in films like "Sleepover," "Aquamarine," "Return to Halloweentown," "The Last House on the Left," "Sydney White" and "Superhero Movie."
The 23-year-old actress will next appear in the ensemble cast of "New Year's Eve," which also stars Ashton Kutcher, Robert De Niro, Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel, Jessica Biel, Michelle Pfeiffer, Lea Michele and Zac Efron, among others. "New Year's Eve" is slated for release on December 9.
"Shark Night 3D" hit theaters on September 2, watch the trailer below.
