Sandra Bullock at Super Bowl, son wears 'Blind Side' tribute jersey
Sandra Bullock attended Super Bowl XLVII and her son Louis recently showcased the actress' special connection to one of the NFL players who helped the Baltimore Ravens win the championship.
A paparazzi photo posted on E! Online and taken in New Orleans, where the game was played and where the actress lives, shows her arriving at the game while carrying her 2-year-old boy, who is sporting a jersey bearing the name of Ravens offensive tackle Michael Oher.
Bullock played the NFL player's adoptive mother, Leigh Anne Tuohy, in the 2009 film "The Blind Side," which was based on his life and earned the actress her first Oscar.
In the movie, Quinton Aaron played the athlete, who was raised by a crack-addicted mother and later moved in with the Tuohys. ABC News reported that the real Leigh Anne hugged Oher after the Ravens beat the San Francisco 49ers, quoting her as saying: "We both just darted for each other and he picked me up. He was so excited and I was just sobbing."
Bullock attended the Super Bowl, according to ABC News, but has not commented publicly about the Ravens' victory.
Oher posted a photo of himself with his Super Bowl trophy on his Instagram page on Monday. This marks his first such victory. The Ravens last won the Super Bowl in 2001. Oher graduated from Ole Miss and was drafted in 2009, when "The Blind Side" was released.
"Wow I'm really a world Champion!!! Is this real life???!!!!!!!" he Tweeted hours earlier.
Bullock has remained friends with the Tuohy family since filming "The Blind Side," the Associated Press reported earlier this week, adding that they all occasionally perform similar charity work.
"She's a great advocate of doing the right thing. She's a big giver," Leigh Anne said. "She follows Michael's career every step of the way. It's funny. I'll get texts during the game: 'Why did they do this? They shouldn't have done that.'"
Sunday's Super Bowl also featured a performance from Beyonce and a cameo of her fellow Destiny's Child alums Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams during the halftime show.
