Sam Worthington arrested and pepper-sprayed after fight in Atlanta - see mug shot
Sam Worthington of "Avatar" fame is in some hot water after being involved in a scuffle that led to the actor being subdued with pepper spray, and ultimately arrested.
Worthington, 36, was arrested for fighting on Saturday, November 3 in Atlanta, according to a police report obtained by OTRC.com. The actor was supposedly not allowed to enter a local bar and grill because he appeared highly intoxicated, according to the police report.
The actor reportedly then "pushed the doorman twice" and spoke to him using profane language, provoking the doorman to subdue the actor with pepper spray and handcuffs until police arrived, the report said.
Worthington was taken into custody by authorities and charged with disorderly conduct, though the charges were reportedly dismissed. The doorman did not appear at the hearing and has not commented.
Worthington's spokesperson had no immediate comment.
The actor played Jake Sully in the Oscar-winning 2009 film "Avatar and has also appeared in films such as "Wrath of the Titans," "Terminator Salvation," "The Debt".
