Sam Trammell of 'True Blood' welcomes twin boys

"True Blood" star Sam Trammell and his longtime girlfriend, Missy Yager, are now the proud parents of two baby boys.

Yager gave birth to "healthy" twins on Tuesday, August 9, their spokesperson told People. The couple announced the pregnancy back in March.

"I'm going to be a daddy," Trammell said on his Twitter page on March 7. "Missy is pregnant with twins!"

The 40-year-old actor, who plays shape-shifter Sam Merlotte on the HBO vampire series, and Yager, a 43-year-old actress who has appeared on the AMC show "Mad Men," have been linked together for eight years. The couple has no other children together.
