The actress and talk show host hit the red carpet on September 19 at her annual Rosie Theater Kids Gala in New York City with Michelle Rounds, who People magazine reports is O'Donnell's new girlfriend.

A source close to O'Donnell tells the magazine that the two met at a Starbucks and "are very, very happy."

Rounds is a corporate head hunter in New York. O'Donnell was previously married to long-time partner Kelli Carpenter from 2004 to 2007. The couple adopted three children: Sons Parker and Blake and daughter Chelsea. Carpenter gave birth to a daughter named Vivienne Rose in 2002.

O'Donnell, 49, is gearing up for the premiere of her new talk show "The Rosie Show" on October 10 on the Own Network.

From 1996 to 2002, O'Donnell hosted her own daytime talk show "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," which earned her six Daytime Emmys for outstanding talk show host. O'Donnell, who has often been deemed abrasive, butted heads with Elizabeth Hasselbeck when she co-hosted "The View" in 2006. She left the show a year later.

The OWN network, a joint venture between her firm Harpo Inc. and Discovery and took over what was formerly the Discovery Health cable channel.

Winfrey called O'Donnell in a statement last year, "A true original, who brings her authentic voice, dynamic energy and pure passion to everything she does."
