Rosie O'Donnell guest stars on 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' and dishes on talk show - Video
Rosie O'Donnell returns to "Curb Your Enthusiasm" on Sunday, her first episode since 2009 on the HBO comedy series.
In the episode titled "The Bi-Sexual," Larry David and O'Donnell, who play fictionalized versions of themselves in the series, compete for the love of the same woman. A preview of the episode can be seen below.
O'Donnell sent out a Tweet on August 21, about the show saying, "I am on a brand spanking new 'CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM' tonight on HBO !!!! watch me kick Larrys [expletive] - again !!!!!"
The comedian is also set to make her big return to the talk show realm on Oprah Winfrey's OWN network with a talk show called "The Rosie Show" on October 10. It will air week nights at 7 p.m. The new series will have celebrity guests, a comedic opening and games.
O'Donnell revealed more details about her upcoming talk show to "Extra" on Friday.
"It will be one celebrity per show, not three or four making the rounds doing the promotion. It will be just, you know, one person who wants to come, hang out and chat and talk." O'Donnell said.
She also revealed she admires comedian Russell Brand. "I think that guy is epic. I love him." She said. "I met him in the airport about six months ago and 'm like, 'I cannot believe I just met you. I've been marinating in you.'"
O'Donnell also opened up about how intimidating it can be to have Oprah Winfrey as a boss. "Listen to say that it's not intimidating is a lie. To say that I feel like I'm her equal is a lie. I don't, I feel very odd in her presence," she said. "It's starting to wear down a little bit."
From 1996 to 2002, O'Donnell hosted her own daytime talk show "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," which earned her six Daytime Emmys for outstanding talk show host. O'Donnell, who has often been deemed abrasive, butted heads with Elizabeth Hasselbeck when she co-hosted "The View" in 2006. She left the show a year later.
The OWN network, a joint venture between her firm Harpo Inc. and Discovery and took over what was formerly the Discovery Health cable channel.
Winfrey called O'Donnell in a statement last year, "A true original, who brings her authentic voice, dynamic energy and pure passion to everything she does."
