Rod Stewart welcomes 8th baby, his second with Penny Lancaster
Rod Stewart recently welcomed his eighth child, Aiden, who is his second baby with wife Penny Lancaster.
Stewart, a 66-year-old veteran singer, and Lancaster, 39, married in 2007 and have a 5-year-old son, Alastair Wallace. Lancaster, a former model and his third wife, gave birth on Wednesday, February 16, People magazine said.
Stewart has six other children from previous relationships, including from his marriages to Rachel Hunter, also a former model, and Alana Stewart, who has had both modeling and acting work.
Stewart is set to have a busy spring as he recently announced he is set to tour the United States and Canada with singer Stevie Nicks, beginning in March. He also plans to perform several concerts in Europe, starting in May.
Both Stewart and Stevie Nicks have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and have several decades of music experience between them. Stewart is known for songs such as "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" and "Maggie May," both released in the 1970s. He has sold more than 250 million albums and singles and his new record, "Fly Me to the Moon... The Great American Songbook Volume V," hit stores in October.
