Rihanna shares bikini photos, breaks major Billboard record
Rihanna is the first singer in the 20-year history of Billboard's Pop Songs radio airplay chart to nab 10 No. 1 hits on the chart, according to Billboard magazine. It was the singer's recent single "Stay," featuring Mikky Ekko, which help her earn the record.
Rihanna previously held a tie for the record with singer and friend Katy Perry, who currently has charted nine No. 1 singles.
"SOS" was Rihanna's first single to hit No. 1 on the Pop Songs chart in 2006. "We Found Love," a single that featured Calvin Harris, was Rihanna's last No. 1 on the chart before "Stay" and it spent eight weeks in the top spot.
Her other cart-topping songs include "Take a Bow," "Disturbia, "Live Your Life," "Rude Boy," "Love the Way You Lie" with Eminem, "Only Girl (In the World)" and "S&M."
"Stay" currently sits at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
It was also announced on Monday, April 22, that Rihanna is nominated in 10 categories for the 2013 Billboard Music Awards including Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Hot 100 Artist and Social Artist. The award ceremony will air live from Las Vegas on May 19 on ABC.
