Rihanna hospitalized in Sweden, cancels concert
Rihanna was hospitalized in Sweden after coming down with a bad case of the flu.
The pop singer was forced to cancel her concert at the Malmö Arena in Malmö, Sweden and apologized to her fans on Twitter writing, "Sorry Malmo!!! #LOUDtour," along with a photo of her arm hooked up to an IV drip (see photo below).
"I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo, Sweden," Rihanna said in a statement obtained by E! News. "I was so excited to perform for you all. It would have been a great time...so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I'm really disappointed I couldn't be there."
Concert organizer Live Nation hopes to reschedule the performance in the next few days, according to a statement on the singer's official website.
The 23-year-old "We Found Love" singer is scheduled to perform in Stockholm, Sweden on Tuesday.
