Rihanna has fired back at the editor of a Dutch magazine that used a racial slur to describe her in a recent article, calling the publication a "poor representation of the evolution of human rights" and accusing it of encouraging segregation.

The fashion and beauty magazine Jackie used the "N-word" (see uncensored photo) to describe the 23-year-old, who was born in Barbados and is one of the most popular R&B and pop stars in the world. Following angry comments from readers on social networking websites, Editor-in-Chief Eva Hoeka resigned. Rihanna posted an angry, public Twitter message to her and used the "F-word" to curse her out.

"I hope u can read english, because your magazine is a poor representation of the evolution of human rights!" Rihanna Tweeted. "I find you disrespectful, and rather desperate!! You ran out of legit, civilized information to print!"

"There are 1000's of Dutch girls who would love to be recognized for their contributions to your country, you could have given them an article," the singer added. "Instead, u paid to print one degrading an entire race! That's your contribution to this world! To encourage segregation, to mislead the future leaders to act in the past! Well with all respect, on behalf of my race, here are my two words for you..." (warning: Contains racial slur, expletive)

Hoeka had said on her Twitter page on Sunday, December 18, that the Rihanna remarks were meant as a "bad joke," adding: "Sorry, guys. My bad." The magazine said in a statement that it was in the best interest of the publication that Hoeke resign immediately.

It quoted her as saying that trying to clarify her comments was a mistake and that her credibility was now affected. Hoeka added that she had no malicious intent or underlying racial motive for the "errors."

Use of the "N-word," a derogatory term against black people, whose variations are often seen in rap lyrics, was the topic of discussion on the ABC daytime talk show "The View" in October.

Rihanna is currently on her "Loud" tour and is set to perform in London this week until the end of her concert series. Footage from her final three shows at the O2 area will be used in a future DVD, UK radio station Capital FM reported. Several weeks ago, she canceled two concerts, citing exhaustion and the flu.
