Rihanna cancels second Sweden concert citing exhaustion
Rihanna has reportedly canceled her second concert in Sweden on Wednesday, November 2, due to exhaustion. The singer was set to perform for fans in Stockholm.
Live Nation Sweden spokesman Kristofer Akesson told the Associated Press the singer "is exhausted and doesn't feel well," but did not give more details about her condition.
The singer had previously canceled a performance in Malmö Arena in Malmö, Sweden on Monday after being hospitalized for the flu. She Tweeted about the experience and apologized to fans for having to cancel at the last minute.
"Sorry Malmo!!! #LOUDtour," Rihanna Tweeted on Monday, along with a photo of her arm hooked up to an IV drip, which can be seen below.
Organizers will reportedly try to reschedule the two shows the singer has had to cancel. Rihanna's Twitter account has not made any mention of the second canceled show. However, she told E! News on Monday, "I am sorry to everyone who was coming out to my show in Malmo, Sweden...I was so excited to perform for you all. It would have been a great time...so much better than being sick with the flu, ugh! I'm really disappointed I couldn't be there."
The singer is set to perform in Hannover, Germany, on Friday.
In other news, the singer made Billboard Hot 100 history with her latest single "We Found Love." The single marks her 11th no. 1 hit on the chart, making her tied with Whitney Houston for a career total of no. 1 hits. According to MTV, she is just one single shy of reaching Madonna's career best of 12 no.1 hit singles. She still trails far behind the Beatles record of 20 and Mariah Carey's best of 18 hit singles.
